in fall 2019, i went on tour with Black Midi. i made a 4-song EP on vinyl in collaboration with Volcom. this vinyl EP was only sold on tour and the songs were never released online.

"Don't Move" was on that record. this is a new version with background vocals by Fielded. it's about preserving your hometown before the wrong transplants come to fuck up the vibe. Pink Siifu is super dope and so is Steel Tipped Dove.

"Can't Stay" is a song about mourning. wrote the day after hearing an old friend in Houston passed away after going through it for quite some time. Fielded sounds really beautiful on this one.

Listening to this a few years on, Chapter 319 feels almost melancholic, a reminder of the time where police abolition had nearly mainstream appeal. The tracks still make me furious at the bullshit cops continue to get away with. dninemfive

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
